Why should you buy music from an independent artist? Shouldn't you be able to download music for free?
I think that most people have the wrong perception about buying music.
It's not about the 99¢ for buying a song. It's about showing support for an artist you like so that they can re-invest your contribution into more of what you love, their music!
Let's put another perspective on it.
For someone that works a minimum wage job, 99¢ is less than 10 minutes of their time at work. To produce a good song, it usually takes around 20 hours or even longer to complete.
After its all said and done, 99¢ is a minimal cost compared to everything the artist has to do.
